Who is Jas Dhaliwal?

Hello!

Thank you for taking the time to read my profile!

I work as the Director of Social Media Communities and Online Engagement for a software company. Formerly, I was a social media specialist for the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Award Program. My past roles have included working as an IT European Services Delivery Manager for Firmenich, a Swiss based Flavours and Fragrance house.

I began my career working as a Systems Engineer, specialising in various desktop and server technologies. I then moved into the world of Service Delivery, helping corporate business to transform their IT from a support partner, to a true business partner. I have worked all over Europe and love working with culturally diverse teams.

Having completed an MBA in 2007, I now live and breathe social media. I help businesses to engage with online audiences by leveraging social media tools. I work with key stakeholders to develop and implement online strategies which are in tune with the needs of the business.

Whether reporting back on marketing analytics, key industry trends or delivering workshops and seminars on social media. My key strengths are helping people reach out to key influencers and to engage with the ‘Voice of the Customer’.

My personal blog is an indulgence of topics that I find of interest. Subjects range from business quotes, to browser hacks and everything in between! I love technology, business and online marketing, so you will usually find blog posts which relate to such themes. However, I make no apology for when posts go off-topic!

Behind my suit, you’ll find a geek marketer who is passionate about people and obsessed with technology. I position myself strictly in between the technical and the business world. Thus, I’m happy conversing with technical engineers, whilst equally at home presenting to business leaders. I have a Bachelors degree in Information Systems and graduated with an MBA from London’s Brunel University in 2007.

I appreciate all feedback, so please feel free to leave a comment on the blog, or send me a email to the address below. The thoughts and opinions expressed on this blog represent my own and not of my employer. You can find me on Google+ and on Twitter
